Responsibilities of an RPA Business Analyst
1. Process Identification & Assessment
- Analyze existing business processes to identify automation opportunities.
- Assess feasibility based on complexity, standardization, volume, and ROI.
2. Requirement Gathering
- Work with process owners and SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to gather detailed process requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements.
3. Process Documentation
- Create process maps, PDDs (Process Design Documents), and user stories.
- Use tools like Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or BPMN tools for visual representations.
4. Solution Design & Validation
- Collaborate with RPA developers to design automation workflows.
- Participate in solution reviews and help validate that the bot meets the original requirements.
5. Stakeholder Management
- Act as the liaison between technical teams and business units.
- Communicate progress, risks, and changes to all stakeholders.
6. Testing & Deployment Support
- Assist in UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
- Ensure process accuracy and performance before go-live.
7. Post-Deployment Support
- Monitor bot performance.
- Gather feedback and suggest improvements.
